Renesas Electronics has introduced a digital power solution centered around the RL78/G24 MCU, employing an interleaved CrM PFC+LLC architecture. This solution provides three independent output channels—main power, audio power, and backlight unit power—offering an ideal power supply solution for digital televisions and other devices. Leveraging the RL78/G24 MCU, all power operations can be digitally controlled, resulting in ultra-low power consumption and high power efficiency.
The RL78/G24 microcontroller is the most powerful performance MCU in the RL78 series, featuring a CPU running up to 48MHz and a flexible application accelerator (FAA) that provides enhanced processing capabilities. Additionally, this MCU has enhanced analog functionality and rich timers, suitable for motor control, power supplies, and lighting applications.
Concerning the power aspect, the solution incorporates the RAA223012 and RAA214401, two products with ultra-low standby power. The RAA223012 is a universal input AC/DC switch regulator, while the RAA214401 is a linear regulator, both suitable for different scenarios, and improve the circuit's safety performance.
Furthermore, the solution is equipped with the PS2561F-1 optocoupler and ISL89410 MOSFET drivers to ensure system safety and reliability.
