Potential New U.S. Restrictions on AI Chip Exports to China Under Consideration

TopChip Electronics】 On June 28,  according to industry insiders, the United States may soon impose additional limitations on the export of artificial intelligence (AI) chips to China. The Department of Commerce could take action as early as next month, requiring licenses for American manufacturers such as NVDA to export AI chips to Chinese customers.

Furthermore, NVDA's China-exclusive A800 chip would also be subject to a licensing requirement before being allowed for sale. Additionally, the U.S. government is considering the implementation of restrictions on providing cloud services to Chinese AI enterprises.
